Kenny Rogers - The Gambler

"The Gambler" is a song written by Don Schlitz and first recorded by Bobby Bare. Kenny Rogers later recorded it for his sixth studio album, which was named after the song. Rogers' version was released on November 15, 1978, as the lead single from the album. The single became a No. 1 country hit and peaked at No. 16 on the Billboard Hot 100 on March 3, 1979.
