"Al otro lado del río" is a song composed by the Uruguayan singer-songwriter Jorge Drexler. The song was composed for the movie Diarios de motocicleta and released in 2004. It became the first song performed in Spanish to be nominated and awarded an Oscar in the category of best original song, at the ceremony held on February 27, 2005.
