"Your Song" is a song written by British musician Elton John and lyricist Bernie Taupin. It was first released by American rock band Three Dog Night in March 1970. John's version was released on October 26, 1970 as the second siingle from his self-titled second studio album. The song peaked at number 7 on the UK Singles Chart on February 13, 1971 and at number 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 on January 23, 1971.
