Deep Purple - Hush

"Hush" is a song written by American composer and musician Joe South, for recording artist Billy Joe Royal, who recorded it in 1967. The song was subsequently recorded by English hard rock band Deep Purple for their 1968 debut album Shades of Deep Purple. It was released on June 21, 1968, as the lead single from the album and peaked at number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 on September 21, 1968.
