"Silly Love Songs" is a song by the British-American rock band Wings, written by Paul and Linda McCartney. It was released on April 1, 1976, as the lead single from their fifth studio album, "Wings at the Speed of Sound" (1976). The song marked McCartney's 27th number one as a songwriter, setting the all-time record for the most number one hits achieved by a songwriter. It spent five non-consecutive weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, from May 22, 1976.
