"Smoke Gets in Your Eyes" was recorded in 1958 by The Platters for their album Remember When?. The single was released November 1958. The group's version became a number one hit in the U.S. on the Billboard Hot 100 music chart in January 19 1959 and remained for 3 weeks. In the UK it topped the Chart for a week in March 20.
