Nino Tempo and April Stevens - Deep Purple

"Deep Purple" was the biggest hit written by pianist Peter DeRose, published in 1933. Harry James recorded a version in 1951. In September 1963 the siblings Nino Tempo and April Stevens released their version that hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100 in November 16, 1963 (1 week).
