Halo fans around the world gathered at midnight events, including a star-studded HaloFest Premiere Event in Hollywood, to celebrate the launch of "Halo: The Master Chief Collection."
Part of the Halo game franchise, which has sold more than 60 million copies worldwide in the past decade, generating more than $4 billion in global sales, "Halo: The Master Chief Collection" offers fans the complete story of Halo's legendary hero, the Master Chief, for the first time on one console, available now.
Fans who took part in the midnight events, including 100+ retail store events in the U.S. alone, were among the first to get their hands on the new game for Xbox One. At the HaloFest Premiere Event in Los Angeles on Nov. 10, fans and celebrities alike came out to declare their love for the franchise, see the world premiere of the new Ridley Scott-produced series, "Halo: Nightfall," and get a first look at "Halo 5: Guardians" live gameplay.
"Halo: The Master Chief Collection" contains every campaign mission and multiplayer map from "Halo: Combat Evolved," "Halo 2," "Halo 3," and "Halo 4" for the first time on one console, with "Halo 2" in particular being completely remastered to mark the game's 10-year anniversary.
The Collection also includes access to "Halo: Nightfall," an all-new digital series executive produced by legendary director Ridley Scott, and the "Halo 5: Guardians" Multiplayer Beta for $59.99.
