Mariah Carey's version was released as the third single off Music Box on January 24, 1994, with "Never Forget You" as a double A-side. Her version reached number three on the Billboard Hot 100 on March 19, 1994 a position it held for six weeks. In the United Kingdom the song debuted at number one of the Official Chart on February 19, 1994 where it remained for four weeks.
