"I'd Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That)" is a song written by Jim Steinman, and recorded by Meat Loaf with Lorraine Crosby. The song was released in August 1993 as the first single from the album Bat Out of Hell II: Back into Hell. The power ballad was a commercial success and became Meat Loaf's first and only number-one single on the Billboard Hot 100 chart (November 6 - 5 weeks) and the UK Singles Chart (October 23 - 7 weeks).
