"What a Wonderful World" is a song written by Bob Thiele (as "George Douglas") and George David Weiss. It was first recorded by Louis Armstrong and released September 1, 1967 as a single. In April 24, 1968, it topped the pop chart in the United Kingdom remaining the top for 4 weeks. In The US it was not promoted and failed to enter at the Billboard Hot 100. In 1987 the song was used in the soundtrack of the movie "Good morning Vietnam", and was re-released peaking at number 32 on the Hot 100.
